Need help with managing your account settings?

How to register for a UofG online account

You will need to login to access our courses.

If you don't already have an account on UofG Online, you can create a New account.

We'll ask you to fill in some details, for example your full name and email and create a password.

Once you've registered for an account you will receive an email confirmation and you'll be able to login and start your learning.

You can reset your password easily.

  1. Go to the UofG Online login page.
  2. Select Lost password?
  3. Enter your username or email address.
  4. Follow the instructions sent to your email.

If you do not receive an email notification, please contact the IT Helpdesk for support.

  1. Log in to UofG Online Moodle.
  2. Select your profile picture (top‑right).
  3. Select Preferences.
  4. Select Notification preferences. (shortcut: click on the bell icon 🔔 and then on the cog ⚙)
  5. Review the list of notification types and choose how you want to receive each one:
    • Web: shown in Moodle
    • Email: sent to your registered email address
  6. Changes are saved automatically.

Your preferences apply across all courses, though some course notifications may be required and cannot be turned off.

You can update certain information fields on your profile page.  This can be accessed from the top right section of the page, your profile icon and select the 'profile' option.  Under 'User Details' select 'Edit' and update the required fields.
